And the LORDsaiduntoSamuel, How longwiltthoumourn for Saul, seeing I haverejected him fromreigningoverIsrael? fillthinehornwith oil, and go, I willsendthee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I haveprovided me a kingamong his sons.
But the LORDsaiduntoSamuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I haverefused him: for the LORDseeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outwardappearance, but the LORDlooketh on the heart.
And SamuelsaiduntoJesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, Thereremaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And SamuelsaiduntoJesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit downtill he comehither.
Let our lord now command thy servants, which are beforethee, to seek out a man, who is a cunningplayer on an harp: and it shallcome to pass, when the evilspiritfrom God is uponthee, that he shallplaywith his hand, and thoushalt be well.
Thenanswered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I haveseen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mightyvaliant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comelyperson, and the LORD is with him.
