And it came to pass, as he talkedwith him, that the kingsaidunto him, Art thoumade of the king’scounsel? forbear; why shouldestthou be smitten? Then the prophetforbare, and said, I knowthat God hathdetermined to destroythee, becausethouhastdonethis, and hast not hearkenedunto my counsel.
And Joashking of Israelsent to Amaziahking of Judah, saying, The thistlethat was in Lebanonsent to the cedarthat was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and therepassed by a wildbeastthat was in Lebanon, and trodedown the thistle.
And Joash the king of IsraeltookAmaziahking of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brakedown the wall of Jerusalemfrom the gate of Ephraim to the cornergate, fourhundredcubits.
