And Davidarose, and wentwith all the peoplethatwerewith him fromBaale of Judah, to bring up fromthence the ark of God, whosename is called by the name of the LORD of hoststhatdwellethbetween the cherubims.
And it was toldkingDavid, saying, The LORDhathblessed the house of Obededom, and all thatpertainethunto him, because of the ark of God. So Davidwent and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededominto the city of Davidwithgladness.
And he dealtamong all the people, evenamong the wholemultitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a goodpiece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the peopledepartedevery one to his house.
ThenDavidreturned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saulcame out to meetDavid, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncoveredhimself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vainfellowsshamelesslyuncoverethhimself!
And DavidsaiduntoMichal, It was before the LORD, whichchose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me rulerover the people of the LORD, overIsrael: thereforewill I playbefore the LORD.
