In likemannershaltthou do with his ass; and so shaltthou do with his raiment; and with all lostthing of thy brother’s, which he hathlost, and thouhastfound, shaltthou do likewise: thoumayest not hidethyself.
If a bird’snestchance to be beforethee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whetherthey be youngones, or eggs, and the dam sittingupon the young, or upon the eggs, thoushalt not take the dam with the young:
And, lo, he hathgivenoccasions of speechagainst her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’svirginity. And theyshallspread the clothbefore the elders of the city.
And theyshallamerce him in an hundredshekels of silver, and givethemunto the father of the damsel, because he hathbrought up an evilnameupon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
Thentheyshallbring out the damsel to the door of her father’shouse, and the men of her cityshallstone her withstonesthat she die: because she hathwroughtfolly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’shouse: so shaltthou put evilawayfromamong you.
Then ye shallbringthemboth out unto the gate of thatcity, and ye shallstonethemwithstonesthatthey die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hathhumbled his neighbour’swife: so thoushalt put awayevilfromamong you.
