And it shallcome to pass, if thoushalthearkendiligentlyunto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandmentswhich I commandtheethis day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on highabove all nations of the earth:
And the LORDshallmakethee the head, and not the tail; and thoushalt be aboveonly, and thoushalt not be beneath; if thatthouhearkenunto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I commandtheethis day, to observe and to do them:
But it shallcome to pass, if thouwilt not hearkenunto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statuteswhich I commandtheethis day; that all thesecursesshallcomeuponthee, and overtakethee:
The LORDshallsendupontheecursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all thatthousettestthinehandunto for to do, untilthou be destroyed, and untilthouperishquickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, wherebythouhastforsaken me.
The LORDshallsmitetheewith a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extremeburning, and with the sword, and withblasting, and withmildew; and theyshallpursuetheeuntilthouperish.
Thine ox shall be slainbeforethineeyes, and thoushalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violentlytakenawayfrombefore thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheepshall be givenuntothineenemies, and thoushalthavenone to rescuethem.
Moreover all thesecursesshallcomeuponthee, and shallpursuethee, and overtakethee, tillthou be destroyed; becausethouhearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statuteswhich he commandedthee:
Thereforeshaltthouservethineenemieswhich the LORDshallsendagainstthee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of ironupon thy neck, until he havedestroyedthee.
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, untilthou be destroyed: whichalsoshall not leavetheeeithercorn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he havedestroyedthee.
And he shallbesiegethee in all thy gates, until thy high and fencedwallscomedown, whereinthoutrustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shallbesiegethee in all thy gatesthroughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hathgiventhee.
And thoushalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hathgiventhee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewiththineenemiesshalldistressthee:
So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his childrenwhom he shall eat: because he hathnothingleft him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewiththineenemiesshalldistressthee in all thy gates.
The tender and delicatewomanamong you, whichwould not adventure to set the sole of her footupon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be eviltoward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
And toward her young one thatcometh out frombetween her feet, and toward her childrenwhich she shallbear: for she shall eat them for want of all thingssecretly in the siege and straitness, wherewiththineenemyshalldistressthee in thy gates.
And it shallcome to pass, that as the LORDrejoicedover you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORDwillrejoiceover you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be pluckedfrom off the landwhitherthougoest to possess it.
In the morningthoushalt say, Would God it wereeven! and at eventhoushalt say, Would God it weremorning! for the fear of thineheartwherewiththoushaltfear, and for the sight of thineeyeswhichthoushalt see.
And the LORDshallbringtheeintoEgyptagainwithships, by the way whereof I spakeuntothee, Thoushalt see it no moreagain: and there ye shall be solduntoyourenemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
