He thatkilleth an ox is as if he slew a man; he thatsacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’sneck; he thatoffereth an oblation, as if he offeredswine’sblood; he thatburnethincense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, theyhavechosentheir own ways, and theirsouldelighteth in theirabominations.
I alsowillchoosetheirdelusions, and willbringtheirfearsuponthem; becausewhen I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evilbeforemineeyes, and chosethat in which I delighted not.
Hear the word of the LORD, ye thattremble at his word; Yourbrethrenthathated you, thatcast you out for my name’ssake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shallappear to your joy, and theyshall be ashamed.
For thussaith the LORD, Behold, I willextendpeace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentileslike a flowingstream: thenshall ye suck, ye shall be borneupon her sides, and be dandledupon her knees.
And I will set a signamongthem, and I willsendthosethatescape of themunto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, thatdraw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the islesafar off, thathave not heard my fame, neitherhaveseen my glory; and theyshalldeclare my gloryamong the Gentiles.
And theyshallbring all yourbrethren for an offeringunto the LORD out of all nationsuponhorses, and in chariots, and in litters, and uponmules, and uponswiftbeasts, to my holymountainJerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israelbring an offering in a cleanvesselinto the house of the LORD.
