For, lo, thoushaltconceive, and bear a son; and no razorshallcome on his head: for the childshall be a Nazariteunto God from the womb: and he shallbegin to deliverIsrael out of the hand of the Philistines.
Then the womancame and told her husband, saying, A man of God cameunto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, veryterrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neithertold he me his name:
But he saidunto me, Behold, thoushaltconceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strongdrink, neither eat any uncleanthing: for the childshall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.
And the angel of the LORDsaiduntoManoah, Thoughthoudetain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thouwiltoffer a burntoffering, thoumustoffer it unto the LORD. For Manoahknew not that he was an angel of the LORD.
For it came to pass, when the flamewent up towardheavenfrom off the altar, that the angel of the LORDascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wifelooked on it, and fell on theirfaces to the ground.
But his wifesaidunto him, If the LORDwerepleased to kill us, he would not havereceived a burntoffering and a meatoffering at our hands, neitherwould he haveshewed us all thesethings, nor would as at thistimehavetold us suchthings as these.
