And saiduntoJeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseechthee, our supplication be acceptedbeforethee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all thisremnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thineeyes do behold us:)
ThenJeremiah the prophetsaiduntothem, I haveheard you; behold, I willprayunto the LORDyour God according to yourwords; and it shallcome to pass, thatwhatsoeverthing the LORDshallanswer you, I willdeclare it unto you; I willkeepnothingbackfrom you.
Then it shallcome to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shallovertake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye wereafraid, shallfollowcloseafter you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.
So shall it be with all the men that set theirfaces to go intoEgypt to sojournthere; theyshall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of themshallremain or escapefrom the evilthat I willbringuponthem.
For thussaith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mineanger and my furyhathbeenpouredforthupon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be pouredforthupon you, when ye shallenterintoEgypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see thisplace no more.
For ye dissembled in yourhearts, when ye sent me unto the LORDyour God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and accordingunto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declareunto us, and we will do it.
