But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespassunto, let the trespass be recompensedunto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonementshall be made for him.
Thenshall the man bring his wifeunto the priest, and he shallbring her offering for her, the tenthpart of an ephah of barleymeal; he shallpour no oil upon it, nor put frankincensethereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringinginiquity to remembrance.
And the priestshall set the womanbefore the LORD, and uncover the woman’shead, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousyoffering: and the priestshallhave in his hand the bitterwaterthatcauseth the curse:
And the priestshallcharge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man havelainwiththee, and if thouhast not goneaside to uncleannesswithanotherinstead of thy husband, be thoufreefromthisbitterwaterthatcauseth the curse:
Then the priestshallcharge the womanwith an oath of cursing, and the priestshall say unto the woman, The LORDmakethee a curse and an oathamong thy people, when the LORDdothmake thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
And when he hathmade her to drink the water, then it shallcome to pass, that, if she be defiled, and havedonetrespassagainst her husband, that the waterthatcauseth the curseshallenterinto her, and becomebitter, and her bellyshallswell, and her thighshall rot: and the womanshall be a curseamong her people.
